What We Are Looking For

Before you pitch, please read our editorial standards carefully. Every article published on CBR Times must meet these requirements.

Content Standards

  • Original content only— We do not accept articles that have been published elsewhere, including your own website or blog. All submissions must be 100% original and exclusive to CBR Times.
  • Accurate and fact-checked— Every factual claim must be supported by credible sources. Include links to your sources within the article draft.
  • Well-structured— Use clear headings, short paragraphs, and logical flow. Write for a reader who is informed but not an expert.
  • Helpful and practical— The best articles on CBR Times answer a specific question, solve a real problem, or explain something complex in plain language.
  • Unbiased— Opinion pieces are welcome but must be clearly labelled. News and guide content must be fair and balanced.
  • No promotional content— Articles must not function as advertisements for a product, service, or organisation. Subtle self-promotion within an author bio is acceptable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is writing for CBR Times paid? At this time, CBR Times offers contributor opportunities on a voluntary basis in exchange for authorship credit, global exposure, and a published portfolio byline. We are actively working toward a paid contributor model and will update this page when that changes.

Can I republish my CBR Times article on my own website? We ask for an exclusivity period of 60 days from publication. After that period, you may republish your article elsewhere with a canonical link back to the original CBR Times article.

How long does it take to hear back after a pitch? Our editorial team reviews pitches within 3–5 business days. If you have not heard back after 7 days, you are welcome to follow up once using the contact form.

Can I pitch more than one article at a time? We recommend pitching one article at a time. Once your first pitch has been reviewed and accepted, you are welcome to pitch a second idea.

Can I include a link to my website in my article? You may include one link to your personal website or LinkedIn profile within your author bio. Links within the article body must be relevant, editorially justified, and non-commercial.

Do you accept sponsored or paid articles? We handle sponsored content through our partnerships team, not the Write for Us programme. Sponsored articles are clearly labelled as such. If you are interested in sponsored placement, please contact us via the Contact Us page.

Can I submit an article in a language other than English? At this time, CBR Times publishes exclusively in English. We welcome contributors who write fluently in English regardless of their native language.

What happens if my article is declined? We aim to provide brief feedback when declining a pitch. A declined pitch does not prevent you from pitching a different topic in the future. We encourage strong writers to try again with a different angle or subject.
